still crisp, but the first rays of spring are here. It is the moment when the citrus fruit trees that
have been living in the orangery are reconnected with the outdoors. What could be more
run-of-the-mill for a gardener than the act of bringing out the lemon and orange trees?
But for parfumier Alberto Morillas, this familiar ritual is one of the most fragrant around, not to
mention the most tender. Vert Empire evokes this moment in a composition with aromatic intensity
and zest. Essence of mandarin and petitgrain conjure citrus fruits nestled in the middle of their leaves.
The freshness of morning is brought out by paradisone and a hint of cardamom. Then, little by little,
the scent of the earth and trees builds with a woody, slightly mineral intensity, carried by the pairing
of sandalwood and ambrox with angelica and sage. Like a tutor giving instruction, this note signs the
whole composition, weaving between the green of the foliage and sweet bitterness of the fruits.
