I am on the petals of roses and on the wounds of war.
My name is red.
I am scarlet or carmine. I embody desire, passion, seduction and strength.
I reveal myself and catch the eye.
But what does being a color really mean?
If you had to describe me to a person blind from birth, what would you say?
Well, you see, I am primarily a feeling.
If I were a fabric, I would be velvet.
If I were a flavor, I would fill the mouth with a taste of flesh and blood.
And if I were a perfume?
I would be both powerful and enveloping, vivid, scandalous and enchanting; I would be reassuring and narcotic, majestic and hypnotic.
"Majda Bekkali was born into a long-standing noble family of Fes, Morocco.
Nurtured by the arts and scents from an early age, she has travelled through marvellous stories of her fanciful ancestors; conquerors or mystical healers, builders of sacred cities or Amazigh princess, travellers or dissenters. Today, she sees herself as a storyteller.
At the age of eighteen, she arrived in Paris to pursue graduate studies in art history.
At the end of a rich and extensive study program, she took on the creative direction of fragrances for various well-known brands.
In 2009, driven by a dedicated passion for scents and the raw materials of olfactory, she established her own perfume house."
